Ode to the Library

One form of the word ode is to express praise of a person or thing and OH MAN do I have some serious love for our library right now!!!  Laurie the librarian, and possibly my new BFF, told me last Monday about their on-line books.  HELLO!!!!  Why did I not know this?  Maybe you are all aware and I am alone in this amazing discovery, BUT our library has hundreds of books online in……drum roll please……ALPHABETICAL ORDER!!!!  I am not talking about a list of books to check out next time you are there, people.  I am talking about animated, reading out loud, page turning, highlighting sentences kind of books!!  You can put your books in a cue and can read them (or be read to) one after another!!!  We spent an hour and a half of our rainy “hurricane Alex” afternoon last week  in bed all snuggled up with the laptop listening and following along with over 10 “I” books!!!!!!  Bennett fell asleep right next to me and Logan and I laughed and talked about each book.  FAB-U-LOUS, what a resource!!!  Best thing of all, they change the books!!!!  GOLD MINE!!!!  While it will not replace our weekly Library trips, it is a book lovers luxury and should not be hidden!!!!!

So, here is what you do!! And, you do NOT have to live here or be a member of our county library!!  Go to this link: www.countylibrary.org, scroll to the bottom of the page.  On the right you will see the last button is labeled: Click here for Tumblebooks, e-books for e-kids.  Click and viola!!!  Endless hours of reading, and alphabetically at that!!!!   LOVE IT!
